From Jim and Roma

Dear Mary,

This has taken us ages to say a few words about your folks. How well I remember your Dad carrying the financial load of Christian Direction during the years that he served as Treasurer of Christian Direction in Montreal. It was no easy task for him but he did it with grace and devotion. I don’t know if any of the other board members would have tackled the task at the time. No doubt because your dear Mother was behind him in this ‘adventure’, he was able to stick with it and always with a smile on his face. Finances were not always in the red but I believe they must have been most of the time. However, God is faithful with people like your parents behind the job they were doing.

For us, we never had the opportunity to really get acquainted with your mother until we spent a few days in their home in Charleston, SC. That was another unforgettable adventure with our handicapped son, rolling him up the front stairs. We well remember visiting the nursing home where your mother spends much of her time and visiting the beautiful city and homes with your folks. Because of their loving hospitality, we were able to get to know them in a fresh new way and to enjoy the beauty and history of Charleston.

May the Lord bless them and keep them as they continue to serve the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

With much love,

Jim and Roma Yorgey
